Meristematic can fulfill orders of any size and specification. Smaller orders of 1000 per/month are available, as well as orders of up to 10,000 per/week
Starter plants from tissue culture show an increase in vigorous growth due to the reduction in pests and pathogens
Cannabis starter plants from tissue culture are genetically Identical to the original cannabis mother plant.
Starter plants from tissue culture are raised in an aseptic environment. This reduces the chances for early infestation and the need for treatment with pesticides or fungicides
Meristematic can schedule order fulfilment to meet the needs of your production chain.
Due to the large production run sizes using tissue culture micropropagation, your entire order is produced at the same time and the plants are uniform in size and shape
Meristematic’s Proprietary Cannabis Micropropagation Process makes our starter plants better than the rest.
Meristematic implements the latest research and state of the art technologies to the micropropagation of cannabis starter plants.
WHY IS BIOREACTOR TECHNOLOGY BETTER FOR MICROPROPAGATION?
Compared to traditional tissue culture techniques, bioreactor systems offer several advantages; they are time and labor saving, relatively easy to scale-up, allow enhanced growth and multiplication (e.g. by forced aeration) and improved nutrient availability due to the use of liquid medium.
Bioreactor-based plant propagation can increase the speed of multiplication and growth of cultures when commencing commercial propagation.

ARE MICROPROPAGATED STARTER PLANTS GENETICLY IDENTICAL?
Differences between Cannabis Mother Plant and Cannabis plants produced using tissue culture, were statistically insignificant. (Pn = 1.23, gCO2 = 8.65, E = 0.46, Ci = 6.01, Ci /Ca = 0.04 and WUE = 0.41; data represents the least significant difference between cannabis mother plant and cannabis invitro procuded plants at p < 0.05).
In a similar experiment Bag et al. (2000) have reported at par or slightly better performance of tissue culture raised plants than mother plant in terms of their photosynthetic characteristics and morphological parameters.

CAN USING TISSUE CULTURE REMOVE PLANT PESTS?
“Because the tissues are isolated and raised in contained and sterile environments, tissue culture is a highly effectively method for producing pest and disease-free planting material.”
Conway, G 2012, One Billion Hungry, Can We Feed The World? Cornell University Press, Ithaca and London.
HOW CAN ORDERING FROM MERISTEMATIC IMPROVE MY PRODCUTION CHAIN?
The main advantage that tissue culture technology offers is the ability to produce a significant number of high quality and uniform planting material rapidly that can be multiplied year-round under sterile conditions anywhere irrespective of the season or weather.
Pillay, M & Tenkouano, A (eds.) 2011, Banana Breeding: Progress and Challenges, CRC Press, Boca Raton, London & New York.
WHY DO TISSUE CULTURED PLANTS SHOW MORE VIGOR?
HAVE ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL CROPS SUCCESSFULLY APPLY TISSUE CULTURE?
The horticulture of food and ornamental crops like Banana, Sugarcane, Rice, Orchids, Corn, Soy, Ferns and Tobacco have successfully used tissue culture technologies to make significant crop improvements in recent years.
